The
Lakewood Riding Club was formed in 1940 at the Mississippi
Stables by people who believed that pleasure horses are
one of the most enjoyable and beneficial types of recreation.
The
Objectives of the club are:
- To
promote a greater interest in pleasure horses
- To
promote interest in horsemanship
- To
encourage proper and humane handling and care of pleasure
horses
- To
develop bridle paths, trails and other facilities for
pleasure riding
- To
encourage good horsemanship and proper conduct among horsemen
and horsewomen
- To
foster good fellowship among persons interested in horses.
Membership
shall be open to any person interested in pleasure horses.
An approved applicant does not become a member
until his or her dues are paid. $25.00 Single Person, $35.00
Traditional family, includes children under 18 if identified
on application.) Our meetings are the first Wednesday a t7:30pm at the Green Mountain Conference Room at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
